PA State System of Higher Education - Multi-University Hazard Mitigation Plan Update Project

Edinboro University and Slippery Rock University - Pennsylvania                                                           

Vernon Land Use was a member of a project team retained by the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education to update Hazard Mitigation Plans for all state system universities.  Vernon Land Use worked with Edinboro University and Slippery Rock University.  Tasks included serving as the consultant point-of-contact for both universities; updating all components of the hazard mitigation plans in current PEMA Standard Operating Guide format; and conducting outreach in the form of meetings, surveys, and phone interviews with students, faculty, staff, and local and county officials.  University-specific hazard mitigation projects were also completed for each University. A Pennsylvania Growing Greener Grant application was completed for Edinboro University and planning for a campus-wide table top exercise was prepared for Slippery Rock University.
